Our Story

Three Generations. One Standard.

Southern Standard started the way most good things do — with a problem and the skills to fix it. After Covid, builders were quoting six figures for a shell and sitting two years out. We knew we could do it better, faster, and for more value.

Southern Standard was built by builders — people who weren’t learning the trade when they started this company. It’s something we grew up in. Three generations of it — concrete, structure, and the discipline to do it right. They were finally building something of their own.

Today, Southern Standard holds a full General Contractor’s license, maintains its own in-house crew, and handles every permit directly with engineers and city officials across Middle Tennessee. When there’s a problem on a job site, the experts call us.

Your 3D Design

A design deposit gets you a full 3D rendering built in-house. See your backyard before a single shovel moves. We refine it together until it’s exactly right.

Contract & Permits

We handle every permit, construction plan, and city approval. Permitting can take weeks to months depending on municipality — the sooner you start, the sooner you’re swimming.

The Build

Excavation. Plumbing. Electrical. Steel cage. Gunite. Decking. Equipment. We work fast. Our in-house crews handle the concrete and shotcrete work, and we directly manage any specialized trades — keeping the timeline tight and the quality consistent.
